Yes, that is correct.
EISA card, yay.
Already tried it from the AlphaBIOS and I get the
same error. The VGA
output varies from all grey, to black and white vertical stripes, to a
screen full of "@" symbols.
Aaaand unless you've got the ECU diskette and a working floppy drive you
can't just move the card to a different EISA slot. Have you checked all
caps on the motherboard? If slot power is reduced you
might get those
symptoms.
I do have the ECU diskette and I can run the ECU. I had contemplated moving
the card to another slot but didn't think it would make a difference. Will
give that a go. Thanks for the suggestion.
