Rumor has it that Tony Duell may have mentioned these words:
I'd wondered about using Molex-style pins in
home-made housing, but I
couldn't think of an easy way to get strain-relief on the cable.
Depending on the gauge / diameter of the cable, I've had pretty good luck
with what we call in the US: "Hot Glue." I'm not sure if there's a
different term for it in the UK.
It's a semi-rigid plastic adhesive at room temperature that becomes rather
"motile" or malleable (if that's the right word) when heated. I wouldn't
say "liquid" by any means as it's not changing phase, AFAIK.
There's two different version, a hi-temperature and low-temperature (well,
at least _lower_ temp) - the low-temp stuff (to me anyway, maybe it's just
the brand I have) seems more flexible at room temperature.
It's quite inexpensive in the US anyway, and can be had at most any fabric
/ crafter shop, as it's quite handy for craftmaking.
