I wonder if it has something to do with the amount of weight that rolls
across a computer room floor these days. We've several of the steel
ones that are bowed, in a CR that's only about 6.5 years old. Though I
would think Cement tiles would simply crack.
I can verify that it takes quite a lot to crack a cement-filled floor tile.
