If it's not clear from the picture, the end of the wire is stripped
and bent a bit, then covered with a big blob of solder. Should I try,
say, using electrical tape to stick it back on the side and give
things a shot? If you look closely at

kinda looks like the wire was just stuck on there with the solder
blob.
