Those are happy with low voltage. Last time that I tried to get 12V flourescents was 25
years ago.
Hopefully they have improved the quality since then!
You can get ones that are pretty much just ordinary compact fluorescents
that run off 12v, not at all like the old "caravan" fluorescents.
