But in the case of DEC machines at least, the
individual PSUs are single-phase units run between a phase and neutral
(star connected).
The VAX6000 has a controled (?) six pulse rectifier that
generates 400V
DC from three phase mains. This DC current is distributed to the
individual PSUs.
