recall offhand what the MC4040 was.
IIRC, it's a (dual?) four-line demultiplexer.
I do have some old Motorola books around here someplace, but right now I have
no idea which box they're in. I notice that one's missing from my parts
pages, too. Perhaps one of these days I'll find the time to work on fixing
that... :-)
