The title seems somewhat misleading; I wouldn't call the 2600 or the C64 a
"technology". Of course they couldn't claim that games consoles have
vanished, and it wouldn't surprise me if there aren't 8-bit micros still
chugging away somewhere doing useful things.
LVROM might have been an interesting inclusion, or CRT monitors, or
cartridge-based software.
