Indeed. The version I remember from "electric shop" in 7th grade used a
couple of strips of metal which were mounted to about a 6 inch square of the
stuff. Most of the fabrication besides making those metal strips and a set
of four wooden feet was drilling the holes to mount all that stuff. The
wiring was trivial.
