Wasn't this an issue here in the US during the 60s and 70s? Only then
it
was jobs being moved from the Northern US to Southern
US.

There were no unions in the south at that time. Its one thing having the
jobs move around the country where the cost of living is lower (I would
rather make $50K in Tennessee then $90K in NYC), its another to see the jobs
go to a country that won't let you in to work.
