Many of the update programs run on Windows/XP and then update via a serial or
USB connection. I have several iPaqs and have never found a real use.
There used to be some Pocket PC software for signal generator, etc but it was
all very expensive.

Good luck with that :) I have an old Philips Velo 1 running Windows CE, similar
vintage device, the main differential that mine is MIPS and yours is SH-3... I
have never found anything to do with it, other than run the existing built-in
applications (which basically consist of Pocket IE, Pocket Office and a terminal
emulator). The primary redeeming quality of the Velo is the modem built in,
otherwise I would say these first generation CE devices are pretty unremarkable.
If you can get a modem or serial port on it, best use is probably as a
mini-terminal.
Best,
Sean

i happen to have acquired a compaq c120 running
windows ce 2.0. i got
it with no accessories other then a few extra stylus and a 16mb pcmcia
memory storage card. i am on a hunt to find programs for it and even
any other accessories. i did find a site that had updates for it but
when i tried to run them in windows ce it said they weren't windows ce
compatible programs.
maybe someone out there knows what i can do. maybe
someone has
accessories for this thing
