Those are for lack of a better term for them, terminals.
Well...sort of. They do more processing than most of what are usually
called terminals.
But, to me, accepting user input and massaging it into the format
called for by the backend is "process[ing]". Is it being used as a
technical term with more restricted meaning here?
Also consider the number of Web stores hosted on IIS....
