My money is on the IIe. I just went in and checked mine. One could easily
mistake the stylized e of the IIe for an a. I've even seen IIes listed on
ebay
as
IIas.
Indeed this is what seems to have happened. He sent me pictures and it
looked like an e to me.
The value with drives and no broken keys is usually
around $35 to $45.
higher if working with extra RAM.
If it had some particularly interesting boards it might be worth more.
As an example, a Swyftcard alone might be worth a couple hundred or so.
Even if it is not working and not of great value, he should find a home
for it.
Just because it has no high value, it is still a
clasic machine.
