Interesting article, but it's really quite simple: You are supposed
to spend dough, perpetually so. That's the name of the game.
There is no good explanation why, say, Ultrium LTO tapes have only
a certain amount of backward compatibility. (I mean, I can somewhat
understand it of 4 mm versus 8 mm DDS/DAT tapes, but LTO...?)
