Just a few regular bolts, nothing special.

You are better off placing the memory as close to the CPU as possible. You
should be able to jumper the memories to work together. There is no reason
that I know of that you cannot use a mixture of core and MOS memory. Of
course MOS memory requires considerably less power to run, but doesn't
retain its memory when power is lost (unless it is the battery backed
variety).
