Actually, I've had lots of bad luck with Compaq.
They're semi-PCs (like the
Tandy 1000's) I mean, if you go to download Internet Explorer 4 from
Microsoft, they have a seperate download for Compaqs. If you call tech
support, they'll charge you for ANYTHING they can.

Hotze, don't really jump on Compaq with zeal; they're very pretty
GOOD if you KNOW what you're doing them for. I found that one you
have talked about is one very rare case where M$ is real problem
there. In my opinion, M$ should have coded their stuff properly
instead of trying to break other machines.
And, this is NOT only compaq, IBM is bit guilty on few of their late
PS/1 486 with (soft power switch). Discovered Win95 would wedge in
strange manner unless we got the proper cd from IBM for specific
machines. Those machines were intended for LOW END users so they're
usually bit oddball.
