ISTR that on some of the early Grid models, you
removed the AC supply from the unit and substituted a battery pack. Does that count?
It wasn't an option for the 1100/1101 (that '82 models; only difference
between them was the amount of memory.)
By the time Grid offered that, other battery-powered clamshells existed.
