Yes, that sounds about right. It does look like this equipment has an RS423
mode; I just need to work out how to configure it :)
(I've used RS232 devices against RS423 before so I know it *can* work - I
suspect that I just need a healthy +5V supply rail on this intended device so
that it stands a better chance of working)
