Sellam,
Sellam,
See the following URL (a Portuguese-speaking friend will help) for an
amazing list of micros made in Brazil, almost all of them clones of major
USA and UK models. For example, the ZX-81 clone is called "RITAS DO BRASIL
RINGO R470". Just across the border from Peru? Well maybe, but Rio is a long
way from Lima!

I will be in Peru from June 23 to July 23, so if anyone knows of any
hamfest down there then it might be cool to try to make it if possible.
I'm told Uruguay (or was it Paraguay?) has a significant electronics
industry and that I might find some interesting things there. I'm hoping
to bring back some South American clones with me. I know a few exist,
including a ZX81 clone made in Brazil or something.
