teeth, so I have lots of software manuals, but you only ever got one manual with the
machine. They never seemed to appear on the CD collections IBM published...

Having read below I remember some of this now. All the later machines so the 43xx and
93xx series have some kind of control CPU and perform some kind of Initial Microcode Load
or IML at power up.
I've put some of the 4331 docs up on bitsavers recently, including the operator's
manual.
I haven't quite gotten the time to scan and upload all the rest (MAPs, etc.)
