One thing I'm unclear about with this idea is how
to store the
program. Are there any single chip OTP microcontrollers that use
fuse type memory as opposed to flash, UV, or some other sort that
eventually goes bad?
Don't fusible-link PROMs go bad too? ISTR something about the metal
vapour recondensing and growing whiskers....
