There, my predecessor used madness like
"u08" (like a friggin' byte
is ever gonna be anything else!) and "u16".
I certainly hope a day will come (though perhaps not for your purposes)
when a byte is not necessarily 8 bits. (16 is perhaps the most likely
next size, but forever's a long time; I don't expect bytes to remain at
16 bits, or any other size, forever either.)
