No. Take the flat head screw (shown)...
remove the bevel on the back edge (so the head
is a slice of a cylinder)

Head style and slot style are independant choices -- though
all of them that I have seen are phillips. The depth of
this "slot" is very shallow as the head is very thin.
Probably half as thick as the distance from flat to crown
on a *pan* head screw...
Some PC cases are coming with screws like that (if I
understand
correctly) but I don't know what thread/pitch they are...
Maybe if you let us know what you need to use them with, we might be
able to find some kicking around...
I use them for mounting drives (tape, disk, etc.) in those
cases where you mount from below.
