standpoint, SAS and FC are different beast (at least I don't think

That's true of course...Part of the reason for my piping up on
this subject is that this is a very gray area. One can't plug an SAS
drive into a UW-SCSI controller, but one can't plug an HVD drive into
a UW-SCSI controller either.
Well, at least not without filling the machine room with smoke. ;)
