account things like:
age
physical size
production count / rarity
operational noise level
number of flashing lights
case styling 'coolness' factor
number of mouse nests / dead insects inside
number of times system has inflicted injuries on
the owner
etc.
... and then makes a call as to whether it will be
seen by the list at large
as on-topic or not.
