Not a mainframe. I don't know too much, but it was a modular workstation
based around the PPC 603. I believe it was implemented as a reference
platform of some sort (PReP, maybe). It would've run Windows NT or
Solaris, or perhaps a custom flavor of Unix, and was the most visually
striking of the Motorola workstation hardware of the time.
This is what I remember from having seen one about six years ago, and
should be taken as apocryphal, or at least anecdotal.
