I just picked up a Toshiba T1000 portable and I'd like to dig into its
inner workings a little bit. I can't find a speck of documentation
online. No user guides, no service manuals, no schematics, nothin'. I'm
especially interested in a reference on the external floppy port, if
nothing else.
If anyone has any PDFs, please let me know!
I haven't looked at these since I worked with them nearly 20 years ago
but I have ISOs of two different Toshiba "Atlas" CDs on our site here:
http://chiclassiccomp.org/docs/index.php?dir=%2Fcomputing/Toshiba
IIRC (and I may not,) they contain images of service manuals for most
of Toshiba's PC products, possibly going as far back as the T1000.
You may have to play around with some old or virtual machines running
Windows 3.1 to get them to run - I have not tried them in modern OSes.
Sorry that I can't be more definite about what they contain - it's
been a long time!
