Most people throw out a dual filament (high and low beam) headlight when
either filament burns out. Save one for load testing. Or go to auto
repair shops and ask them to save you a bulb that still has one working
filament.
If a used discarded headlight is too expensive, and you need something
even cheaper, . . .
