I think the answer to the problem is in the CHUD tools
for
Developers. It's called SpindownHD.app and I'm not trying to find
info on exactly how it works. The other solution is a 'cron job'
(whatever replaced cron) that touches a file every few minutes.
I assume "NOW trying ..." ;)
On my quad, there is a checkbox in SpindownHD for "Disks sleep after
___ minutes idle" (and of course I have it unchecked).
