Just in case anyone is interested, replacing the
failed Darlington
transistor fixed the problem. The RD53 now spins the disk again. Thanks to
everyone who helped.
Excllent.... These ST412-interfaced hard drives are getting harder to
find now, so it's a Good Thing to keep as many running as you can.
