DPS-6 and Ultimate OS (was: MULTICS...)

Somewhere, I've got a stack of documentation pertaining to the software that ran on the DPS-6. Funny thing, what I remember most fondly about that system was the sound made by the CDC 9" (I think) hard drive in an external cabinet. The DPS-6 system itself was a large, double 19" rack, that was more empty space than utilized space; one rack contained the open-reel magtape drive, the other contained the card-cage and 5-1/4" floppy drive.
