I don't know, I bought a 245MB IDE drive to replace the 89MB one that was
in my main desktop PC, and that was in '93 I think - ~250MB at that point
was the typical 'big drive' for a PC (within a couple of years it was
around 500MB, then 750MB, then 1GB...).
I think 1991 or so was probably the point where rotating storage prices
started dropping really fast.
