software on the internal drives. When I changed motherboard or floppy
controller (cant remember what), it was not possible anymore. The DOS
version was not changed.
Maybe we can agree on "modified firmware" ?
The controller chips in the newer machines (P-4 and AMD athlon boards made
in the last year don't have 360K floppy support in the BIOS but the
controller is capable of reading and writing it.
