In the Netherlands, two Tandem Himalaya K200 systems (I believe
those are MIPS-powered, NonStop) with disks, tape cartridges,
spare parts and more. All for *free*.

In the description it's mentioned that these systems used to run
at the NYSE Euronext stock exchange. (They were probably
decommissioned to be replaced with IA-64 NonStop systems,
or something else, who knows.)
It looks physically gigantic and that it may (sic) require three-phase
power. But, in the description the person that is offering it writes
that one system ought to fit in a BMW 5-series station wagon car
and that it will definitely fit in a 'rent-a-haul' type of trailer.
I'm fairly nearby it, I imagine others may too. But, I don't have
adequate power-requirements for it most likely. For who is
interested in trying out a 'NonStop' system (these seem very
rare, needless to say), maybe we could start some kind of
'fundraiser' and that whoever is interested pitches in a small
amount of money, then we can see if we can get this gigantic
monstrosity shipped to someone who can power it and so
that people can perhaps try it out through remote access...?
(Just an idea.)
