Have you been following the mystery of eeStor? They claim a
capacitor with a better energy density than any secondary cell. They
seem to be using a high voltage (3Kv) on some sort of barium titanate
setup. It it's real, it'll be Very BIg News, but many think it's
unadulterated snake oil.
