I need to do a whole lot more cleaning up before I can offer the same
for my hoard. I've long thought that it would be fun to create some
kind of VR tour of the basement (and garage and storage and....) but I
don't really have any idea how. Anyone remember Quicktime VR in the
90s? Something like that.

I've played with the panoramic photos on my Android phone before; some
of the ones I made in the back yard turned out well. Apparently you
can string them together into a sort of "DIY Street View." But it
looks like it relies on GPS location tags (of course, to string the
images together in the right places) which wouldn't really work out
for indoors and small maps.
Anyone have any experience creating such a thing? Who will be the
first to offer a walk-through tour of their stash?
