What means relatively large Omnibus
configurations? My test machine here has two
backplanes, nearly full with different stuff. No expansion.
These are people who are potentially
affected by this issue.
But are they? It would be great to know if real issues
exist. Not theoretically.
Nobody denies that the perfect drivers would probably work better in
configurations near the maximum. But that should be something like three to four
boxes with two backplanes each, filled with cards... And not to forget a many
feet long cable between them...
And since you've been up front about that from the
start, no one has, as
you put it, "yelled" about it.
Oh, probably yelling is the wrong word
(English is not my primary language!).
And not "at me" - but those bus driver discussions... just don't like them.
Everything about bus drivers seems to be said. And has been said long before I
even had the idea to build something like the USB board.
All that could be interesting in that area would be practical experience with
different drivers, hardware configurations....
