Yes it sure SEEMS like it's a straight through. I went ahead and ordered
one so I'll cross my fingers.
Thanks

Does anyone know if the 5161 uses a special pinout or if it's simply a
straight-through cable (i.e. pin 1 to pin 1)? I've been searching but
haven't found any answers.
Accordign to the O&A TechRef 'The extender card and receiver card
rear-panel connectors are the same. Pin and signal seeignements for the
extender and receiver cards are shown below"
The 'externder card' is the oen that goes i nthe 5150 or 5160. The
'receiver card' is the one that goes in the 5161. I read that as saying
that the cable is straight-trhough. BUT, it would not suprise me if some
signals weere wired as twisted paris with ground. Unfortunately i don;'t
have the cable to hand so I can't take the hoods off and look at the wires.
