Nope, the Windoze/Mac METAPHOR, being re-connected with the real thing.
Hence the "reinvent "the desktop""
Did NOT mean "desktop" as short for "desktop computer"
They set up an additional ad-hoc computer lab at the college, and did it
with laptops!
So, maybe "desktop computers" are on the way out
