If you're not opposed to putting new hardware into
the Amiga (as
opposed to keeping it "period-authentic") there are people working on
expansions for the 1000, 500 etc that work in the 2000:
I don't care much about age, but as always, I'm (really) short on money.
Euro60 for a board with almost no parts is too much to me :)
