Probably - but that is not weird. Even in the old days the tape and
disk farms were bigger than the processors.
Depends on the system, on the Honeywell DPS-8 Mainframes I worked on
the CPU's took up more space than the tape drives. Now disk drives
were another matter, at least on the production system. :^) They
took up a majority of the computer room space.
