I, for one, support your crazy idea. All you really need is a teeny
tiny VAXstation 4000VLC to hook up to every device you want to
control. Too bad they're so hard to get your hands on these days!
OK, but seriously, here's a much more realistic idea: SIMH on a
Raspberryi Pi connected to each device you want to control.
Interfacing SIMH with the Pi's GPIO is left as an exercise for the
reader :^)
