Cool artifacts but I suspent someone just framed some printouts
sometime in the early 80s.
I did some research on these this afternoon, and I don't yet have the
real answer, but I found some more examples online.
First, here's a nearly identical VI poster, obviously scanned in from
somewhere:

And second, here's another Shell poster that's almost identical, but
has color elements in it. This one, at least, has a legible copyright
in the lower left corner:

Design by "r. t. monroe" (or mabye r. l. monroe). Copyright 1983 by
Typographics in Oakland... Too bad the rest is cut off.
Oh well. At least it's a couple of leads. I wouldn't mind having these
myself!
