In attempt to get back on topic, When working with the
ECRM 8400,
ECRM is certainly on topic, my PDP8/e was used in first ECRM machine, an OCR scanner.
Used a laser and a fotocell, and plenty of additional Omnibus boards.
Two of those form a nice 80x25 char video output, with lots of attribues ( underline,
blink etc.)
My PDP8/m was used in a meat processing factory. Versatile machines they where...
