Or just find a few abundant C-64's and sacrifice
them for the necessary
parts (the innards of the SX-64 are just a C-64).
As long as one consideres soldering and similar as
'hot swapping' of parts :) The SX is based on the same
chips, but tith totaly different boards and several add
ons.
