I have seen SCSI to IDE adapters around, but they go

devices.
I searched
alibaba.com in the hopes of finding a chinese manufacturer
for something like the addonics 50-pin scsi to ide converters that pop
up on ebay form from time to time. But unfornunately, I think they've
all stopped producing them since there's no market now. If someone
could find a chinese manufacturer for these, I have a corporation and
an illinois state tax id number that I can use to order them straight
from china. Depending on how much they cost wholesale,
I could order
maybe 100 of them and resell them to everyone for wholesale plus tax.
I'm not sure if anyone is making them anymore though. Maybe they
could be talked into doing a special run of a few hundred. I'm not
sure.
If we're going to roll our own, my vote is for a 50-pin device that
goes straight to compact flash, maybe with an IDE connector on the
board also.
