Did you know Joe Koenig? He ran that outfit while it lasted, but I
didn't think that they produced anything but a prototype before they
discovered that there were fatal problems with the idea. Joe was
pretty proud that he wrapped the operation up cleanly, without any of
the VCs losing much. IIRC, it was a 100MB unit that they were
shooting for.
He went on to run Resonex (NMR imaging). I stayed in touch with him
for quite awhile. He passed away 15 years or so ago. A guy who
absolutely loved his work--and loved life. I was privleged to know
him.
