I have seen a jeweller's soldering torch that works by electrolysing
water (using power from the mains) and then brunign the resulting H_2 and
O_2 to probvide the soldering flame, but that violates no laws. The
energy uoi get from the flame comes from the mains electricity supply.
They're still out there and just as evangelical about it, but lately
the Rossi eCAT LENR snake oil has attracted many of the faithful.
