I've used a similar $20 hand tool with success. It's not a precision instrument,
but the results worked and cost me a lot less than the Pertec cables would from a trader.
If I were doing more than a few one-offs, I'd get something better, but for something
I use once a year for a non-precision, non-mission-critical thing, it'll do.
