A few years back, I had a bench power supply ('constant
current/constant voltage' type) that would output 5000 volts at up to
a few hundred milliamperes.
SCARY POWER SUPPLY.
Heh. About a year and a half ago, I pulled the transformer out of an
NMI power supply. 4kV at 1.5A rating.
That sucker could blow fuses really well. ;)
